The commands in the **fs** command suite constitute the main administrative interface to the Auristor Cache Manager on a client machine. The Cache Manager is responsible for fetching data from file server when applications traverse the _/afs_ file namespace.

There are several categories of commands in the **fs** command suite:

- Commands to set and report how the Cache Manager interacts with servers: [fs\_checkservers(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_checkservers.html), [fs\_getcellstatus(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_getcellstatus.html), [fs\_getcrypt(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_getcrypt.html), [fs\_getserverprefs(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_getserverprefs.html), [fs\_getverify(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_getverify.html), [fs\_listcells(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_listcells.html), [fs\_newcell(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_newcell.html), [fs\_setcell(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_setcell.html), [fs\_setcrypt(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_setcrypt.html), [fs\_setserverprefs(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_setserverprefs.html), [fs\_setverify(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_setverify.html), [fs\_sysname(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_sysname.html), [fs\_uuid(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_uuid.html), and [fs\_wscell(1)](https://www.auristor.com/documentation/man/linux/1/fs_wscell.html).
